Legal · Legal Process and Data Custody Policy
Version history
Each version of the Tax60 Legal Process and Data Custody Policy is listed with its effective date, newest first. A version’s text never changes after it takes effect; a change to the wording is a new version. Material changes take effect no sooner than 30 days after notice by email and in the app.
Version 2.0
CurrentEffective October 1, 2026
What changed: Records are stored in users' accounts, so valid legal process can reach their contents. Contents are produced only to a governmental entity under the process the Stored Communications Act requires for contents, never on a civil subpoena, with notice first. The integrity claim now rests on the commitment chain and the copies users keep. Lists the professional-account, support-access, staff-log, support-note and business-contact records that exist, excepts support access a user opens from the features we will not build, and commits us to contest demands for a professional's client roster.
Version 1.0
